Artificial light can disrupt the natural instincts of many wildlife species and as a result has the potential to impact them negatively.

Animals perceive light differently from humans and artificial light can disrupt critical behaviour. For instance, hatchling marine turtles may not be able to find the ocean when beaches are lit, and for migratory species, the impact of artificial light may compromise their ability to undertake long-distance migrations essential to their life cycle.

Environmentally Aware light fixtures from Magnitech feature low colour temperature LEDs that emit light in a specific range of wavelengths safer for wildlife. Special purpose optics also drastically reduces light pollution.

These LED fixtures safely illuminate areas while also helping to protect and minimize the effect of artificial light on our wildlife.
